Director of Sales - Kelowna, BC
This property caters largely to corporate retreats, weddings, corporate training seminars, groups and special events and requires a well organized, detail oriented, take charge individual with a creative flair, to see projects through from inception to completion. The Director of Sales will be required to generate business for the venue and work with the clients throughout the sales cycle to ensure their vision becomes a reality.
Responsibilities will also include maintaining the corporate website as well as providing leadership and direction to an existing small team. The Director of Sales must encourage and motivate the team to participate in the sales cycle and to work together toward a common goal, which is, to ensure all customers’ needs are met to their complete satisfaction and nothing falls through the cracks. This role requires a team player, who has the ability to delegate responsibilities in a courteous, professional manner.
Excellent communication skills are a must. In addition to exceptional verbal/written skills, this role demands strong organizational skills, marketing acumen, and the ability to bring the team together on each project, current or upcoming. Having a well connected individual with strong ties to the business and local communities will be a definite asset. As well, the marketing component of this position will include quotes and proposals (RFP's), client follow up along with advertising, budgeting, promotions and working with corporate objectives and sales strategy.
